the best place to send a fleshing machine blade...

checked the archives but all I found was Van Dykes....anyone know of another place to send blades to for fleshing machines? thank you

Many tanneries offer the service. Personally, I'd use the one manufactured with the machine. I have a Rawhide machine and I wouldn't use any other blade on my machine. I buy them directly from Rawhide.

I have used Van Dykes and have been less than satisfied with their blade sharpening and turnaround time. The next ones I send out will go to Seminole or Carolina Fur. I have heard good things from both places on sharpening.

I called a close by tannery today and found out they do sharpen blades. I never even thought about a tannery. To be totaly blunt I would not even recomend the other two suppliers mentioned above to a enemy.... thanks again

i allways have used research and they do a good job and you get the blade back usually the same week you send it.
