hooves

I am going to be tanning(krowtann)a half body mount on a albino button buck, my question is will it hurt the hooves if I soak them in the krowtann?

I just did a lifesize Javelina in the krowtan. Nothing extra was done to the trotters. I love the simplicity... I just hope that it lasts.
