had a couple of shoulder mounts i had to get out (my skins) so i did what i normally do and threw them in krowtann - i had time 36 hrs later to mount them - i knew this was a little iffy ON TIME IN KT)especially since i tumble for an hour b4 mounting) - tried just one and found it was uniformly tanned and shaved perfectly - the moral of the story is: it takes 36 hrs to do a coyote ( porblably any small mammal) - this STUfff IS MAGIC

Is there somewhere to get additional information on how much to use for different animals? I got a paper with my Krowtann but it only lists bobcats, deer, and large game. I have two coons and a woodchuck to do and was wondering how much to use.
you are not understanding the directions - they are only meant to give you ratios and guesstimates for different animals - if you will do some grade school math you will see that the kt to water to salt ratios are ALL THE SAME - just mix up enough to cover the animal and then adjust the salt and kt to BE THE CORRECT RATIO for that amount of water - to neutralize you always use 1 1/2 oz of soda per gallon - i dont add it at three times - just dump it all in at once and leave for 30 minutes - hope this helps - i haven't had any problems since the beginning
Do you REALLY tumble for one hour? Wow.
is to mix 1.5 oz sodium bicarbonate per gall. of water (if you use baking soda you'll need to mix 3 oz to a gall. water) make as much as needed to submerge the hide it will need to be in this mixture for a TOTAL of 20 min. No mater if you mix all at once or seperate adding the sodium bicarbonate every 5 min. If you want to ask us anything about useing our tann.just call us 1-800-467-0369
Thanks
