I recently got a cow hide and head given to me that I will use to practice on my Quebec machine and try tanning it for practice. By working on a cow, what would this be most simmillare to of game spices? The head is rather thick, would it be simmillare to a moose?

The cow will be most similar to XL and up, African game. Like Eland. Short hair, thick thick leather.
A Moose is a good comparison - but then it also depends on the age and size of the cowhide too!
