We are looking for a high quality wet tan tannery close to WI for some bear and whitetail this season ? We had some wet tanned last year from ? and they came back sticky and stinky like grease .
Any suggestions? We would even let them do prepping of the face.

It has been my experience that if you wet-tan any fured animals that they do come back a big greasy mess. I had a bear and bobcat wet-taned ( two different batches) once and what a pain in the rear, I ended up washing both animals several times to get then even half way better. I now dry tan all fured animals and I will still wet tan my deer most of the time.
