Is it possible to save a slipping slated elkcape, 28" for a mount?
It is shedding so badly I cannot think I can tan it?
Suggestions?

I think you know the answer already.
But what you call shedding may be a few hairs? But if you have bald spots the size of golf balls on this cape before tanning, why go any farther?
