Some years ago there was a product called QuickSlip available in Australia. You added some of it to hydrated lime then mixed with water to a paste. It was spread on the flesh side and rolled then after only an hour the hair slipped off for leather. It was fantastic stuff but is no longer available.
Would anyone know the probable ingredients so I can make some myself? It was so easy that I hate to go back to the old liming method. I have an order for drum skins that I would like to get done in a hurry.

Was probably Sodium Hydrosulphide
