This is a question. for Mr. Rittle.
I am wanting to do another rug, but i want this one to be more supple. Can I use your kwik-n-eze tanning cream to apply after I salt wash flesh and tumble? Do I need todo more steps. or can I apply it in the manner as mentioned? Will it be what I am looking for as far as a soft and stretchy ,flexible. type rug ? Thats what I am shooting for. Will this work? thanks for any reply and info. Ray

But Bruce is going to tell you that it's not the TAN that makes a hide soft, it's the breaking that makes it soft. That along with the oil. That's exactly why I keep harping on having hides done by professional tanners that have the equipment to make your hides soft and supple.
Hey there George. I just got back. Actually I took my hide over this evening to keystone fur dressing to have it done, They Know Mr. Rittle very well and give me the speal. Thooo. I wanted to know a bit more about the kwik_n_eze cream tan, they didnt answer that question for me. I am very much a hands on type of guy which is why I wanted to know if the methoud could be used for rug use in the manner i suggested?
Oh by the way.
Mr Rittle. Josh from keystone sends his hellooooo's
Rittel,Rittel,Rittel,Rittel,Rittel. get it ? not Rittle .
Rittel, Did I get it right this time? I should hopefully get an A. for effort. Besides you all know who I ment. By the way. thanks to all the Mr. Rittels that answered my Q?
Belive it or not - I have relatives that spell it any one of the above ways - and yes - we are all blood related. So consequently I answer to any of them! I have no problems with it. Please guys - Don't worry about the spelling!
However - as to your question about using KWIK-N-EZE to do a rug. Yes you can expect a very nice rug - but I would recommend that you apply additional oil after applying the tanning cream and letting it sweat in for 3-4 hours. Then apply the additional coat of oil - again, let it sweat in and then hang it to dry.
PS - However - dont spell it as "Piddle"! LOL!
Paint-on tans have oil in them - enough for Taxidermy purposes - but if you are tanning flat trophy skins or rugs - then its essential to apply additional oil.
The additional oil will help
I knew you could do it . Just took a little repeating - LOL
Wow. all that info. See folks hooked on phonix does work. LOL.
Thanks so much again. for the great info. The Kwik -n-eze will no doubt be another one of my upcomming purchases.
