I just went to mix up a batch of Krowtann; going to try my first Krowtanned Deer cape. When I poured the Krowtann into my measuring cup, clumps, which looked like bits and pieces of a black plastic garbage bag, came pouring out. I had shaken the bottle a good bit before pouring. I isolated the clumps in another container, but they do not appear to want to go back into solution. My question is this, what element of the tan has fell out of solution, and what can I do to get it back into solution? My other question is what to do with the cape that I now have in the Krowtann? It appears that all of my 5 qts have this problem. Anybody else, using Krowtann, ever had this problem? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Many time any liquid with partical suspension can be heated and the materials will again absorb into the solution.
I doubt it will harm the product performance. I have had it happen and not heated it and still had great performance fomr the product.
I remember reading were someone else was having that exact same problem.its been awhile back.
I've noticed the particles in every bottle I've used. Haven't had any problems so far. BP
Thanks folks; I did not try the warming method. It occured to me as an after thought. I don't have particle suspension, I have quarter size chunks of the black goop. I have noticed fine particle suspension in my past solutions, when doing small mammals. I searched the archives until my eyes hurt, so I think I will give Brian a call tomorrow, at Ozark. Thanks again for the input.
What did you ever find out about the Krowtann ? I am interested to know !
