Can Anyone please tell me how safe it is to put pickled hides into freezer and leave 4-5 weeks.

Had some in there much longer than that with no problems.....
you don't need to put pickled hides in the freezer. a plastic bag in an empty barrel works great. let's not be moronic here.

That's one of the best ways to do it: Freeze a pickle hide. You don't want to neturlize it in any manner.
But why freeze it? You can leave it the pickle for that time being just making sure you mix it in the morning and when you leave.
