Summer Hair

I killed a doe in early September here in Kansas. The doe had about 1/2 of it with long red hair and the rest with extremely short grey hair. I've never dealt with this type of a cape, and since it's unique, I would like to mount it. My question is, once I send it off to the tanner, will the hair be more likely to stay on or wash off? Thanks for the help!

The summer (red) hair sets in follicles located near the surface of the skin while the darker gray hair is imbedded deeper. When I mount them, I usually take the red hair off. I roll a piece of duct tape backwards around my hand and then just roll it across the skin. This will usually pull most of the summer hair out.
