have used krowtann extensively on small mammals but with deer i never could get good stretch (back to original size) - i have used krowoil and that helps immeasureably - on one i just tanned i shaved it after the kt and put McKenzie leather oil on it - wow it stretched back to larger than original measurements - give that stuff a tr y
