Commerical tanned hydes

I have been doing taxidermy as a hobby for 2 years. I have w/t 2 deers,a cayote, an a fox. i do not have any problems stretching the hydes over the forms when i w/t them. I would like to buy a Commerical tanned hyde, I know that their is a 20% shrinkage on the dry tanning process. I would like to know if their is a chemical that can be used to stretch the hyde back out to it normal size. If this is possible what procedure would be required to do this?

Add a surficant (Downey clothes softener is a cheap, available one) and rehydrate it properly. Before wet tans (and that really wasn't that long ago they became popular anyway) a dry tan was the only way to do taxidermy work. Museums are filled with dry tanned hides that were rehydrated. Click that orange SEARCH icon to the left and type in "rehydrating dry tanned hides" or simply "rehydrating". Use the quotation marks.

In my opinion, less than 10%.
