I currently do all my tanning with LutanF, it makes for a pretty good tan, but is a pretty lengthy process I am considering trying Krowtann 2000 or buying a pressure tanner. Krowtann seems like the cheaper and more sensible route right now. Any suggestions, opinions, etc.?

Here we go again, Krowtann vs. everything else.
Krowtann works super in the pressure tanner. Go buy both. You could use a pressure tanner if you are thinking about one anyway.
i use it for E'THINg rom fox to buffalo - even george could make it work (if he would try it) - you need a good oil to get stretch out of it - i use McKenzie leather oil
Few people should miss how I feel about alum tans. If it works for you and you like it, go for it. It won't ever work for me because I'll never knowingly use it.
I always have to smile when I preach about smoking and cancer, then pause, to spit in my cup, anyway I feel cheated when I buy a tanned cape, just to find it was done in krowtan or an autotanner.
but do some research and your homework
no tanning process is a snap
id suggest starting with stop rot
and make sure to follow directions to the letter
i do add another round of stop rot before the neutralizing step
its a good buffer
i also use the krowoil
and i shave very thin
