What to do

I've had this yote in the pickle now for about 8 days.
And the skin is not looking any lighter. The grease burn
might just be to bad. It might be lost from sitting on
the strecher too long. Any Ideas?
Thanks
Ryan

At this point the only thing you can do is add an enzyme to the pickle. Sorry I can't think of any thing else off the top of my head. Joe

did you relax it well? probably not.
enzyme is a good idea. also keep stirring. twice a day at least. it may take months to soften. but it will eventually

IT WILL BE OK RYAN, I HAVE TANNED HIDES THAT WERE IN THE PICKEL FOR 15 YEARS.
THE KEY IS TO THROUGHLY PICKEL. THAT IS WHY YOU MUST STIR IT OFTEN.
