Hello, first time chemical tanner, I've used the brain tanning methods on a couple squrrels and a rabbit, but I thought I would try a chemical tanner this time around.
I am using the Small Mammal Tanning Kit from WASCO, and just put the hide (a raccoon) into the brine soultion. It says do a final fleshing after 8 hours in the brine.
My question is, can I leave the hide in the brine solution a bit longer? Say about 2-3 hours longer? I have an appointment I cannot cancel starting at 5 and ending around 9 or 10.

you can go longer if you need to, it only says to flesh after 8, it can be 9,10,11,12, or 18 if you want.
