Dequilling a porcupine

I have several pelts from porcupines that I've been holding on to for some odd reason. A few of them are from young animals with very soft underfur and nice long guard hairs. I think they'd tan up really nicely if I could only find a way to dequill them without having to manually pick each quill out. Any suggestions, other then letting my neighbor's cat have a go at it?

When I used to collect quills I would throw and old rug or blanket on the critter. Then use can throw away of pick-em out
