My Grandpa gave me an old deer pelt, I have no clue how old it is, but the deer was in it's winter coat and the leather is nice and white, all in all, it is a very beautiful skin.
But the hair is shedding, is there anything I can do to stop this?

Just don't pull on the hair, and it should be fine.
