I have one in the pickle and don't have time to flesh can I just neutralize and refrezze?

just freeze it. Neutrailize it latter.
You can always store the hide in the pickle solution. Just check the pH from time to time.
Also when frrezing a pickled cape as Mr. T said LEAVE IT PICKLED.
Here is why, even at room temp bacteria is very very very slow to grow, almost nonexistent, on a pickled cape or skin.
I had several pickled hides in the freezer last spring, a tornado knock out the power while I was gone for two weeks, fish and whole animals were falling apart when I found it.
Now you know who 2 week old fish smell after two weeks of spoiling. I thought "^&&*&&^%% what and how will I replace 20 odd capes and hides?"
I the fox (3) I did still loose. the bear were fine and were the deer that had been pickled.
So now I get them pickled fleshed and frozen.
Never neutralize until you have time to tan it.
Pickle makes the hide stabile as it kills the bacteria.
