I and trying to tan my own deer capes and I saw that Van Dykes has a couple to choose from, it says that the Lutan F kit does two-three hides for 15.29.... Potassium Alum kit 7 to 10 capes 15.99 is the alum a good one, hpw come it can do seven to ten and the other can only do two-three. Would this mean that I have to do two or three at the same time in order to use the alum kit?

Matt, you would be better off with the Lutan-f kit.The kits give you enough material to do multiple deer,but they usually give you directions on doing one deer at a time.Another good tanning kit would be the ez-100 kits.You can call Van Dykes and they would answer any questions you might have.
