Just had to share this.
A friend of mine, who is not a taxidermist or tanner, is getting a free bison hide from his neighbor who raises them. Here's the funny part: He is going to flesh and salt it himself. I believe he has fleshed maybe a couple deer. I wished him luck and told him to keep me posted.
I can't imagine what he is getting himself into. What's a green bison hide weigh, a couple hundred pounds or so?! I'll let you all know how he faired. Merry Christmas! Eric
