i have had the bobcat hide in the tanning solution for 5 days now. when i feel with a glove while in the solution it doesnt seem any different from when i first put it in. feels slimy and still raw. this is my first time so i am not sure what it should feel like. any suggestions? thanks

If you followed the directions it is tanned. gently tug on the fur a little and make sure it isn't slipping easily. The skin should be real white and any meat left on the hide should be dark brown. You need to nutralize that thing now. 5 days is a long time for a cat in the tann!

ya i followed directions. it said 2-5 days in the solution.the skin is real white and the meat brown. i have already neutralized and washed. now it is drip drying. any other helpful tips? thank you
don't try to make it complicated. Follow the directions and viola, you got it. Your ready to final flesh and thin, then you can mount or freeze.
Beleive it or not its very simple.
its drying. the arms are turning brown almost black and are hard. whats happening?
