Tanning solution differences

Hello,

Can someone tell me the differences to expect between these two tanning kits?

One is a paint on type and the other appears to be a pickle type.

the first one is unknown and a mystery.
The second one is well know here as the EZ-100.
So I vote for Mr. Rittel's EZ-100

Stay the hell away from that orange bottle and go with the Rittel EZ Tan. The stuff in the orange bottle is crap.

Does the ritel make a leather that is soft and somewhat spongy?

but only if you shave the skins thin and break the hide.

I'm using it on muskrats.... Do I still have to thin the hide?
