I recently bought a McKenzie tanning kit from McKenzie. They sent it in two boxes because it was so small but when I opened it up I found that one of teh bottles was leaking out fluid or something and it spilled on my hands. It has began to turn red and dry. Will this go away? AI scrubbed it off very hard and I think it is going away.

As all tans, McKenzie tan depends on an acid to work the skin. This acid will burn and excoriate YOUR skin if it remains in contact for any length of time. Your hands were chemically burned by the acid, sounds as if it's almost second degree burns, and yes, it will "go away" as your skin repairs itself and heals.
You should call McKenzie and explain to them what happened. I'm sure they'll replace you container and hopefully, take better precautions in shipping though I don't know how they'd ever make the packaging gorilla proof from some of these delivery services.
If I had to guess he prolly freaked out when the stuff got on his hands and "scrubbed it off very hard", so hard, that it chapped his skin. I guess it depends on which bottle was leaking and how long he left it on his hands, but a little McKenzie tan on your hands won't burn 'em like he's talking about, heck even straight safetee acid won't do that if you get it off in a decent amount of time--- we're talking minutes not seconds. Know what i mean?
He may also be suffering from some allergic reation as well.
I think I am OK, there is no more burn and all I notice now is that the area is red and dryed out. Thanks
You need to catch dermatitis just once from citric acid, or try to tan you're hands as Matt did, and you will learn to wear rubber gloves for everything. Or splash the pickle acid into the eyes will teach you to wear safety glasses also.
By the way I did wear gloves while using the kit, I got the burns from opening the packaging and it was leaking.
