Salting hides..

When salting hides does the temperature affect the salting process. Can it be to cold?.....Does it have to be warm in the room ?...Thanks in advance, Kevin..

Just dry. I myself prefer it to be cold.

Goes too far back for me to remember my chemistry, but I THINK that's close to where salt no longer draws moisture.

You must be close George, Salt wont melt ice off the roads below 20 degrees.
