Ok searched the archives can't find the answer I think my cape has acid swell(puffed up jelly like in some areas),I skinned,salted,resalted,formic acid pickle,shaved,returned to pickle,nutralized,washed in dawn soap two cold water rinses.I have applyed rittles kwik-n-eze tan Did I jump the gun is the cape junk or do I need to even worry one post says no problem the next says skin is going to tear on be useless .HELP

soak it in salt water, it may relax some, at what time did it swell, after the rinse?
If the salt brine doesnt work, repickle it and start over. When it hits the pickle again it should come back. Evidently you didnt netrilize it enough. Acid swell is when the skin absorbes to much water
Ok before hitting the hey last night I put a towel over the cape (so it would not dry out to quick)checked it as soon as I got up and all the jelly like swelling is gone?do I still resoak/pickle or can I go ahead and mount it up. thanks
