Trying to rehydrate a stag that came in very thick and hard. Soaked for a 16 hours in Rittels ultra soft it worked on the main part of the skin and face but around the ear butts is where I can not get it to soften so that I can invert the ears for fleshing any suggestions would be appreciated.

After you soaked it (much too long in my estimation),it needed to be put in a plastic bag and sweated overnight. Did you?
