Liqua-tan is easy and works great on squirrels.I clean the squirrel up real good take off the membrane and then just apply the Liqua-tan and mount.

Alum paste...

put in equal amounts of salt and alum and around 3 times as much water as alum. stir until dissolved ( you may want to put into the microwave to completly dissolve it)add flour to your alum/salt water until you get a nice smooth and thick paste (should hold its shape fairly well but still be in a liquid like state). Apply to all parts of the skin. wait a few days (3-4). solution should be dry. srape off. the edge of a spoon works well. reapply another batch of the solution. you may want to repeat the process several times. the more you do it, the softer it gets. considerable shrinking occors if the skin isn't properly cleaned, ecspecially around the whiscars. i use this for all of my squirrels. Good luck!
