Some customers want their capes soft tanned for a blanket instead of hanging on the wall. All the places I have found want at least $75, which leaves no room to make any money on the deal. Who does a good job for a much cheaper price? You can email directly if you want.
Thank you,

Capes are not for rugs, and you are getting cheezed by the tannery if you are a taxidermist. I only pay 38 bucks for flat deer skins.
I pay $38-40 for wt deer, plus shipping to and from tannery. I charge $125.00 for wt deer flatskins. Never had anyone fuss about price on these.
I think they charge $38. I wouldn't care if they charges $400, I'd mark it up and either make money or not waste my time. But around $125 is what I charge. I've had people tell me that they "can get it done for $50", I tell them to go ahead, "I'm in business to make money, not give stuff away". Really pissed my wife's friend off but business is business.
