Hello:
I am contemplating purchasing an auto tanning machine. From what I have read and heard, they are a great asset to a shop and speed things up re: tanning. I do approx. 30 deer capes per year.
I was just wondering about different models, and what seems to be the most popular and efficient. I have found units from Rineharts and also Van Dykes, not sure of any other suppliers.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Don from Ontario

I just purchased the smaller tanner from Rineharts. I like it very much, can tan hides in one day rather that a week with bucket tans.
I havent mounted one yet but have tanned a few, seems to have good stretch, not sure on shrinking yet. I only take in about 20 deer a year and am happy with the smaller unit, you can get at least 2 capes in per run, maybe more if you like to flesh that many at a time. Hopes this helps.
