Help! ph to high in pickle

Submitted by Jack on 1/28/06 at 5:06 PM. ( jackheinson@sbcglobal.net ) 208.189.42.58

I`m using safty acid & salt for my pickle. Same formula I used last year. I had no problem last year keeping the ph below 2. Now I mix it up and the ph is 4. What do I need to do to get the ph down? Thanks for any help. Jack

Are your papers OK?

Maybe your papers are no good. Have they gotten wet?

Did you measure out your Saftee Acid? One half fluid ounce to each 1 gallon of water? Did you use Borax on the skin when you skinned it? Did you wash the skin before the pickle and forget to rinse it? If it's high - then like Jason said - you have to add more acid.

I have never heard of anyone having any ph problems ith this product. Add more acid, dont forget the salt.
