Well what I did was, I followed all the directions to krowtann 2000 but when it came to adding salt I Read : add 64oz. of salt, I thinking it to mean - weight oz.- and not - water oz.- put in about 2 1/2 cups of salt (64 weight oz) and let them sit in the mixture for 4 days following the directions. However as i'm sure many of you know it's -water oz.- (8! cups). What I need to know is are my hides ruined or do I have to add more salt and let them sit longer or remake another batch ,or what?

of salt as called for in the dirrections then see if you caught it in time leave in for a few more days all measurements are volume measurements. Not sure if it will help but it may if the cape isnt slipping yet.

Then it should read volume by cup in the directions

Solid materials are measured by weight! I simply can't believe directions for adding 64 oz. of salt was supposed to be by "fluid".
