this guy got $60.00 for the same thing. Why so much of a jump. doesn't sound like much but give 50 -60 capes and thats $1000-$1200 difference. Get over yourself! I use use East Coast. $59.00 per cape (same process) and same wait and no tumbling mix to clean off and right around the same area so the shipping is the same. Man, if you are gonna charge $80.00 your capes should be clean at least!
Dave, Does a hell of a good job and as far as I'm concerned he should be charging more just for the speed of turn around time.
If your doing 50 to 60 heads you must be good so raise your pricing $20 bucks and quite bitching.
I'm sorry but I have had a few bad capes from Misty Ridge and so has another that recommended them.Tanneries never want to take reponsablity when needed. It is always the taxidermist or customer that did something wrong.Sometimes that is not the case.Alot comes into play.
I recently recieved my capes back from the tannery and so far I tried to mount 6 of them. All of them are slipping. They are wet tanned with EZ 100. Is there anything that I can do to stop them from slipping? The 2 that I was able to get on the form seemed to be ok after they dried. The problem is being able to work them on the form without creating large bald spots. I am not over stretching them in any way. I notice the ease of the hair falling out before I even put it on the form. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
