Shaving after tanning

I have been using McKenzie tan and was wondering if I can shave skins after tanning then mount or would i have to repickle, tan, and mount?

Mike,make sure you've allowed enough time for the tan to penetrate.After shaving I think I would go ahead and apply another layer of the tan to the area you've shaved.I personally have doubts as to how well this tan penetrates,it could be just me but I don't get the stretch with this tan like I do with Liqua-tan.

it is easier if the skin is wet,but yes you can shave it and you should be able to get more stretch.

...you may try simply shaving before and after neutralizing to avoid all of this. Im happy with the stretch, and I double shave this way, so maybe thats the difference.

i flesh before tanning and after
i find the capes tann better and breaking it up makes it a little easier also
also i find the face is a little easier to machine shave after tanning

I said before and after neutralizing. Thats still before tanning.

I do the same as Bill but my coment was because Mike said the skin was already tanned.
