Creep factor of 10 !

Got an interesting email from my tattoo artist and I am at a loss as to what to tell him.
I did say I'd post his email here and see what ideas you fine folks come up with
I did search the archives,"preserving human skin" and "preserving human flesh" and read some interesting stuff...

Anyways here's buddy's email:

Hi Ed,
I may need your help with something. I had a lady mention to me
that she was having some skin removed for a tummy tuck. It just so
happens that one of the tattoos I put on her will be removed as
well. I wouldn't mind having it. It would be another creepy addition to my shop.
Anyway, would it be possible to preserve it?

In all honesty,I'm unsure as to what I could tell him to do...
I know I ain't touchin' it !
I will look at it tho, curiosity I guess

So,if anyone could give me an answer on how he could prepare this piece of skin it would be greatly apprecitated

Tummy tatoo

I doubt that the surgeon would let that leave with her. I found out that when they have surgery sometimes that which is removed is #1 disposed of as hmmm what do they call it..hazardous biological waste, #2 reused for cell growth/cultures for burn victims (not in whole but in strips) and #3 if anything looks suspicious it is sent off to a lab to make sure there are noumm.. like cancer cells etc. So I seriously doubt he will receive anyof that. Just my opinion.

Thanks Forrest Sue

Being that a tummy tuck is an elective surgery and only done on healthy women by a cosmetic surgeon there is not going to be testing for cancer. Also,I have information from a reputable source that indeed the "skin" can and has been given to women who have had the procedure. It is entirely up to the Doctor performing the surgery.

......About preserving a tattoo from some guy's father, I believe. I think they had the skin removed, tanned and it's now hanging in a bar. In a frame that is. I think it was Cleveland, but I'm not sure.

You might ask this guy

Looks like he may have invented the technique of using antifreeze for tanning as well. Too bad he's dead.

Careful here...

There was once a madman from Germany that had tatoos forcibly removed and made into lampshades, wallets you name it...

and..I was once told by some hospital employees that if it was removed from the patient it is the property of the patient!

What a twisted individual

"Tanning human skin". There are two entries in the archives on this. Use the quotation marks.
