I have a question - how long do you emerse the PH paper into the water solution to check the PH level?

quick dip, half a second is all you need.

or youll get a weird mix of colors sometimes
if its mixed well a quick dip is fine

Take a sample with your stirring stick and apply a drop to the strip. If you dip into your solution you are washing out some of the indicating chemicals from the paper.

must have some cheep papers. Bruce's papers don't do anything like that!
