if i have a frozen hide and i take it out flesh the rest of the way and put straight into the pickle is this okay, instead of unfreezing ,salting for two days the rehydration. if i should salt for the few day period what all can i rehydrate with thanks alot

to allways salt the skin atleast 24 hours it starts the whole tanning process and never use idone salt use only plain salt.
I only use a rehydrate if the hide has been salted for several days or dried hard. skake the salt off and mix your pickle after 24 hours.
For my rehydrate I use Relax-R from one of my suppliers but you can also put 1 Pound of salt per gallon of water and mix well and rehydrate.
