Thawing a hide?

What is the best way to thaw a frozen hide? Is there a wrong way?

If you have space in there and the wife doesn't mind that's the safest. Other than that I can place mine in the work shop sink before I leave and by the next morning be able to work on it.

hang it up , hang everything up to thaw, let the weight of the skin open it up , and allows the air to get all the way around the frozen skin,animal,bird, etc..........

.....Thaw it in a microwave. Definitely the WRONG way, but I've seen it tried!

great for thawing (cooking) frozen squirrel skins - tried it once
