Greetings,
As I have learned, most taxidermist don't have any interest in doing this, so they don't concern themselves with the how's...
But, I'm hopping someone here can at least point me in the right direction...
Does anyone know of any chemical(s) tanning or not that can be used to mummify/preserve?
As of right now I'm salt drying everything which takes forever & a day...
Say I wanted to preserve (dry out/mummify) something like a heart, whole (baby/fetal) pig, deer etc.
Is there something that I can soak/pack items in that will do this ~ preserve them without them getting nasty...
I know this "may" sound like an "odd" request...
But, I'm a gaff artist & I NEED to find a better way to mummify/preserve items I use in my sideshow displays...
Anyone know if something like "Stop-Rot or Preservez-it" would work (alone or in combination with salt drying)?
Any info. or advice anyone can throw my way will be greatly appreciated...
Thanx,
DC

How about paying someone to freeze dry your specimens? In effect that is what you are trying to do with the salt huh?
Good luck
CAUTION FORMELDAHYDE IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS!!
DO IT OUTDIDE, USE RUBBER GLOVES, A PROTECTIVE SUITE , GLASSES , AIR RESPORATER.
INJECT WITH NEEDLE , HUNDRES OF SPOTS, PLACE IN SEALED PLASTIC BAG
