i flesh using a draw knife and fleshing board and a fleshing knife every thing i flesh always has spots were the hair falls out i salted a deer cape and i begin to cut of all the big chunks but the string looking thing drive me nuts so i start trying to get rid of all them and i go into fleshing rambo mode on the cape thinking it will not be ready for the pickle then next thing i know slip spots. any suggestions would be great.

you are going to deep and cutting the roots off. Go just deep enough to where you start seeing a blue color. I do most of my fleshing during the pickle. 2 days in pickle, final flesh, 1 more day in pickle.
The Quebec Lite would take the heavy stuff off and shave the skin till you see blue skin. Thats were you should stop. The average cape should take you less than 30 minutes.
