Nina, a lot depends not only on the tan you use, but also on the type of snake it is, as well as the skin condition. Vipers keep their colors really well, while other snakes like some collubrids or constrictors have to be at least touched up or completely painted depending on specie.
Another thing is the condition of the skin at the time of death. Snakes do shed their skin on a regular basis. If you have a specimen that is close to shedding, your colors on the skin will not be very bright and sometimes you'll even loose the epidermis completely. The fresher you skin is (meaning the more recently your snake shed prior to death) the better chance for nice bright colors to be there regardless of type of tan used.
I personally use WASCO True Tan Reptile Tan which locks colors really nice in the specimen. The same goes for Authentic Snake Tan. I have not tried Rittel's snake tan, but heard that it is a good tan to use as well. Try out several tans and see which one YOU like best, but remember the other factors involved in producing a good colorful skin as well.
