Dakota IV Fleshing Machine

I am looking to buy a fleshing machine? Will the Dakota Iv Fleshing machine adequately flesh deer capes or moose capes? I realize that it comes with a 1/3 horsepower motor. Is this enough for generally all types of fleshing, or should I opt for the Dakota V with the 1/2 horsepower motor and 12" wheel? Thanks

go with the bigger one. I didn't do the research and didn't think it would matter so I got the Dak.IV. I hate the small blade.

is to small for moose, it would be like pitching manure with a dinner fork.

It will do up to whitetail size capes,it was originally designed for small critters and the taxidermist who might only do 10 or 20 whitetail a year. And after saying that I bought one for my first fleshing machine.I eventually bought the Dakota V.Your better off just to buy the bigger unit, its a little more money, but it will do the tough big critters and small ones too.My Dakota 4 just sits in a corner because I rarely use it because the bigger unit does everything that I need to do including fleshing a large majority of the whitetails face.
