I'm thinking of starting a shop but was wondering about disposal of
used chemicals. Up till now everything was DP or one step oil.
I'm located in michigan and could use some advice.

Try calling your local department of public works. In my township they have certain dates set up for collection of hazmats and all we have to do is drive to the local college parking lot and drop off your stuff.
