I have some beaver tails that I tanned using ez 100 and i cant get them to soften up atall. I tanned them as you normally would let them partially dry afterwards oiled, left sit oiled again using either McKenzie or Rittels oil then I brushed then w/ a fairly heavy wire wheel then tumbled the hell out of them. I do have them shaved as thin as I can get them on my flesher. I have seen these tails that other guys have done that are very soft and I sure would like to be able to make some like that.
