I just mixed up my first batch of Krowtan for a deer hide. After putting in the Krowtan I started to mix it and it turned to like mud on top of the water. I mixed for a long time but didn't seem to help. Is it ok to use this way? Thanks

as long as you shakened the bottle well be fore using. Have had this similar thing happen with no bad results. If your still concerned call Brian at Oazrk woods and he will help you out.
I kept trying to stir it better but I will give it a try. Its on my cape for a rug so its no real big deal. Is it ok to use this mixture in my pressure tanner? If so how long do you leave it in.
I have had the same problem before. My problem was just the salt I
was using seem to be dirty or something. Get good salt like Morton's
and your mix will be cleaner. Krowtann also has oil in it that seems to float after you get through stirring it.
