saftee acid pickle & LIqua tan, been around for over 20 years & works ! Others will say Krowtan, which I personally think sucks!
BUT, without a fleshing machine you would be better off with a tannery. NOTHING but nothing beats a properly fleshed, thinned cape.

Personal choice

I'm a fan of two tans and have been for some time. I've tried others but the two I like the best is Liqua-tan and EZ-100. Both are great tans and never had a problem using them.
As for tanning oil, Knobloch's #1 oil is what I use and like to any other.

I agree with Bill

Without a fleshing machine your skins are going to be too thick to properly mount.

A tannery is your best bet.

Since you have GOT YOUR time IN

YOU SHOULD KNOW. Without the proper tools how can you expect to turn out quality stuff. Plain and simple take your uneducated self to a tannery. Not trying to be a JERK or anything.

fleshing knife

Tobi,McKenzie sells fleshing knives for twenty bucks-this would work on the heavy areas, then use a scife knife and scalpel on the facial areas.I use Liqua-tan for about 90 percent of my work and lutan-f or ez-100 for the rest. You really need to invest in a fleshing machine if your going to do any volume of work.
