I have mounted fox,bob cats, deers & coyotes with liquid tan.I have done the Lynx in the same way.The liquid tan I do by directions,I salt it for a couple of days, wash the salt off with water then let the tanning agent set for 5 days. The lynx did not have a odor on it during the tanning process, then I rehydrated and mounted the lynx it took me all day to do it.The next day the lynx had a odor that smells like rotting chicken litter and the fur was so loose that it would fall out if you rubbed it.I know the coyotes have a bad odor but the odor will go away in a year.Does anyone else have a odor problem with the lynx? had no odor
Yuo shouldn`t use any tan without pickling first.
