I've done some research on velvet antlers and found DP, formic acid pickle, Injectables, freeze drying and what ever else. My question is can you mix a formic acid pickle and inject and spray on. Would that work and do you have to neutralize it also?

and they are not split so soaking and freeze drying is out. Any input would be gratly appreciated. Thanks
I use 4in1 from Touchstone. I add 8 ounces of formaldehyde to the gallon of 4 in 1. I inject them every place that I can get a needle in. It can take several hours to insure this is done correctly. After they're injected, I hang them by the skull plate and twice a day, every day for a week, I fill a spray bottle with it and go and spray the antlers. Use a face shield and a respirator. This stuff is intense. Then let dry.
I've only lost one set of antlers using this method and it wasn't my or the chemicals fault. The hunter had carried the antlers in his hand for several hours packing the animal out. The velvet that slipped off formed a perfect silhouette of the hunters palm and fingers. The rest stayed just like I'd gotten it.
