Iam using my fleshing machine for the first time and I was wondering when I take the hide out of the pickle do I just squeeze out as much of the pickle solution as possible and then just start to flesh out the hide or is there something special that I need to do?
thank you

Nothing Special!

When you're ready to shave, pull out enough skins from the Pickle for about 2 hours worth of work. Then let them drain for 30 minutes and begin to shave. Obviously, you cant work on all of them so I like to fold them like a towel to keep them moist and set them aside until I'm ready. Its also a good idea to scoop out some of your pickle solution and keep a small container of it on the table, along with a sponge. If you see a skins edges beginning to dry - simply sponge some of the pickle solution onto it. Its also good while you're shaving and you begin to see dry spots, to sponge them, refold and set them aside for later.
