I am doing a seminar for a bunch of youngsters ages 5-15 on saturday and i am trying my best to set up a nice program too keep them interested. I will have 4 30 minute sesions. I thought of doing a turkey fan plaque but how interesting for a 5 year old can that be? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,

Outdoor Related Project for Kids

Hey Ryan, I'm not sure if your project has to be hunting-related, but I have one Idea for you. Some time ago, I saw a print of a game fish done in colored ink on white construction paper. It looked pretty simple, yet was quite different and attractive. Apparently, you take a small game fish or panfish, make sure it is dry, then apply the ink with a roller. Carefully press the fish to the paper, taking care to include the fins and tail, and you have a neat looking and unique piece of artwork. It's just an idea, and inexpensive to boot. Good luck.

Make foam rocks

Take a bag full of foam pieces and show them how to paint them using temper paint to look real. This is something they can do "hands on" and can take home with them. 30 minutes is long enough to do this.

thanks for the input
